The total reserves of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) increased by $7.547 billion to $134.402 billion in the week ending May 10 compared to the previous week, marking the strongest reserve increase in nearly 3 years last week.

Accordingly, as of May 10, the CBRT’s gross foreign exchange reserves increased by $5.055 billion to $74.203 billion. Gross foreign exchange reserves stood at $69.148 billion on May 3.
During this period, gold reserves also increased by $2.492 billion to $60.199 billion from $57.707 billion.
Thus, the total reserves of the Central Bank increased by $7.547 billion to $134.402 billion in the week ending May 10 compared to the previous week’s $126.855 billion.
This increase marks the strongest weekly reserve increase since August 27, 2021.
