Central Bank Initiative Promotes Transparency in Financial Markets
The stock balances of Currency Protected Deposit/Participation (CPDP) and Turkish Lira Deposit/Participation (TL CPDP) accounts will be published monthly. According to the announcement from the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkiye (CBRT), April data will be released tomorrow. These data will be published under the “Monthly Money and Banking Statistics” section with the subheading “Currency Protected Deposit and Participation Accounts” on the Electronic Data Distribution System (EDDS) at 14:30 tomorrow.
“CPDP – Individuals”, “CPDP – Legal Entities”, “CPDP – Total”, and “TL CPDP” balances will be shown as separate series. CPDP balances will be tracked in billion US dollars equivalent to the original stock balances in terms of converted currency/gold; TL CPDP balances will be tracked in billion Turkish Lira.
