Rwanda, Switzerland of Africa, will host Turkish exporters this year. CNR Holding will organize 7 different sectoral fairs in Rwanda for the African continent, which the whole world sees as the market of the future. A total trade volume of $20 billion is targeted at the fairs.

The African continent, where the whole world, especially with developed countries, has made attempts to establish trade relations, has opened its trade doors for Turkey. Contributing to the global trade of Turkey’s locomotive sectors with an average of 50 fair organizations every year, CNR has carried its success to the intercontinental level this time.

CNR, which opened the trade door of the African continent, one of the richest geographies of the world, for Turkish manufacturers, is preparing to organize 7 different sectoral fairs for 54 countries in Africa in 2022. Emphasizing that Africa is a huge market, CNR Holding Chairman of the Board Ceyda Erem; “Especially in the last period, the trade route of the whole world has turned to Africa.”

Erem stated that the Rwandan State also gave significant support to the fair; “We realized the importance of the African continent many years ago. We have been in bilateral talks with many African countries for a long time. We gathered the first fruits of this with the African fair we organized in Istanbul last year.

We organize 7 different fairs for 7 different sectors for the African continent. We aim to create a total trade volume of $6 billion for the first year at these fairs. The main purpose of implementing our African fairs is to hold the corners for Turkish companies in the African market, where all European countries compete to enter, and to strengthen our hand as a country.”

Ceyda Erem; “As many foreign companies as domestic companies contacted us during the first promotional campaign of our African fairs. They want to take part in our fairs with serious square meters. Companies that realize that global trade has evolved into Africa and that the continent is a bottomless pit show great interest in our African fairs.”

Emphasizing that Rwanda has the capacity to represent the African continent in the global economy, Erem said, “Rwanda is called the Switzerland of Africa. It is a clean and safe country like Switzerland. In addition, Rwanda is seen as the center of the African continent with its natural wealth, economy and modern structure. We, as CNR, are in this country for the entire African continent to organize fairs on 11-13 August for food and horeca sectors, 18-20 August for shoes and leather sectors, 18-20 August for ready-made clothing companies, 15-17 September for construction, 3-05 November, for the home textile and furniture sectors on 07-09 November, and for the agriculture and machinery sectors on 10-12 November. On this occasion, we are very happy to offer our country’s leading sectors the opportunity of new and long-term trade agreements with Africa.”
