Consumer Confidence Index Rises 1.6 Percent in November

The consumer confidence index increased by 1.6 percent month-on-month in November, reaching a level of 85. The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) released the consumer confidence index data for November.

According to the results of the Consumer Tendency Survey, conducted jointly by TUIK and the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, the consumer confidence index rose from 83.6 in October to 85 in November, marking a 1.6 percent increase.

The index measuring the current financial situation of households increased from 67.7 to 69.6, a rise of 2.7 percent.

The financial situation expectation of households for the next 12 months rose by 1.9 percent, increasing from 84.2 in October to 85.7 in November.

The general economic outlook expectation index for the next 12 months, which stood at 78.6 last month, rose by 1.3 percent to 79.6 in November.

Meanwhile, the index measuring the tendency to spend on durable goods over the next 12 months increased from 104 to 105, reflecting a 0.9 percent rise.
