Corendon Airlines Partners with Optifly for Scheduling and Slot Management

ISTANBUL (AA) — Corendon Airlines has signed a cooperation agreement with aviation technology firm Optifly to strengthen its scheduling and slot management capabilities as part of its digital transformation strategy.

According to a company statement, Corendon Airlines will integrate Optifly’s next-generation Schedule & Slot Management solutions—including OptiSched, OptiSlots, and OptiAI—into its operations.

The integration aims to make the airline’s internal planning processes more robust, transparent, and data-driven, while also supporting a scalable network management approach.

Efficient schedule planning and professional slot coordination are seen as key pillars of the company’s sustainable growth strategy, with the new system expected to enhance operational flexibility and efficiency.

Thomas Weimann, Head of Network Planning and Scheduling at Corendon Airlines, said the platform goes beyond traditional planning tools by combining intelligent solutions with advanced optimization. He noted that the system enables faster implementation of schedule changes and more effective evaluation of different operational scenarios.

Weimann added that improved slot management capabilities and advanced reporting tools will help increase operational efficiency, reduce risks, and further enhance the airline’s commercial network performance.

Daniel Mulcahy, Chief Commercial Officer at Optifly, highlighted that leisure-focused airlines like Corendon require flexible planning systems to manage seasonal networks and dynamic operational needs. He said the collaboration will modernize Corendon’s planning infrastructure by combining current technology with future optimization capabilities.

The partnership underscores both companies’ focus on innovation, operational excellence, and long-term efficiency in the aviation sector.
