Cruise Ship “Europa” Brings 357 Tourists to Bodrum

MUĞLA, Türkiye (April 18, 2026) — The cruise ship Europa docked at the port of Bodrum, bringing 357 tourists to the popular Aegean resort town and contributing to the early momentum of the tourism season.

The Malta-flagged vessel, measuring approximately 198 meters in length, arrived at Bodrum Cruise Port after departing from Rhodes. On board were 357 passengers—most of them German nationals—along with 282 crew members.

Tourists Explore Local Attractions

After completing customs procedures, passengers disembarked and spread across the town center to explore Bodrum’s bazaars, marina, and historical landmarks. The influx of visitors led to increased activity in shops, cafés, and restaurants, providing a boost to local businesses.

Positive Impact on Local Economy

Local officials and business owners reported that the arrival of the cruise ship created noticeable economic activity, with tourists engaging in shopping and dining throughout the day. The visit is seen as part of a broader rise in cruise tourism that is helping kick-start the region’s summer season earlier than usual.

Next Stop: Greece

The Europa is scheduled to depart Bodrum later the same day, with its next destination being the Greek port of Nafplion.
