New model follows €400 million investment plan

The Striker forms the latest step in the €400 million ($457.06 million) investment plan announced under the partnership between OYAK and Renault Group.

With production planned in Bursa, the model is expected to play an important role in Dacia’s efforts to build up its presence in the C segment, a vehicle class generally associated with compact family cars and crossovers.

Local production may bring tax advantage

The Mild Hybrid-G 140 and Hybrid 155 versions of the Striker are expected to have a localization rate of more than 40%.

This means a significant share of the vehicle will be produced locally, a factor that could provide an advantage under Türkiye’s OTV system, the special consumption tax applied to vehicles.

Striker strengthens Dacia’s C-segment target

Designed as a crossover carrying Dacia’s brand identity, the Striker is also tied to the company’s longer-term growth plans. The model is expected to support Dacia’s goal of raising the C segment’s share in its total sales to 33% by 2030.

The Striker is set to go on sale in Türkiye in December 2026, marking a milestone for Dacia as its first model to be produced in the country.
