DAP Regional Development Administration Supported 2,086 Projects in 12 Years

The Eastern Anatolia Project (DAP) Regional Development Administration has provided financial support totaling 13.43 billion Turkish lira to 2,086 projects since 2013, officials announced.

Serving 15 provinces—Erzurum, Erzincan, Sivas, Tunceli, Elazığ, Malatya, Bingöl, Muş, Bitlis, Van, Hakkari, Ağrı, Kars, Ardahan and Iğdır—the DAP Regional Development Administration held its “2025 Activity and Project Evaluation Meeting.”

Speaking at the meeting held at the institution’s headquarters, DAP Regional Development Administration President Prof. Dr. Osman Demirdöğen outlined the organization’s work and long-term goals.

“Work has been ongoing since 2011. We operate in 15 provinces across our region. With the support provided since 2011, we have reached certain milestones. However, when the social and economic development index is taken into account, our region remains the least developed in Türkiye. This means we still have a lot of work ahead of us,” Demirdöğen said.

In a presentation to journalists, Deputy President Ömer Faruk Karyağdı stated that between 2013 and 2025, DAP allocated 13 billion 433 million 929 thousand lira to 2,086 projects across sectors including agriculture, education and culture, public and social services, manufacturing, and energy. He added that in 2025 alone, a total of 525 million lira was allocated to support 78 projects.

Karyağdı also shared information on DAP’s initiatives in agriculture and livestock, as well as challenges and solution-oriented actions outlined in the 2024–2028 Action Plan.

The meeting concluded following a question-and-answer session.
