Turkey’s minimum wage for 2021

The meetings were held online

The Minimum Wage Determination Commission held its first meeting this year at the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services on December 4, within the scope of the minimum wage determination work.

All three meetings were held online. The commission held its second meeting on 15 December in cooperation with TCEA and the third meeting was hosted by Turk-Is on 22 December in line with the measures taken against the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic.

The minimum wage net is ₺2 thousand 324

The minimum wage is currently ₺2 thousand 943 gross per month for a single worker, and net ₺2 thousand 324 when taxes and deductions are deducted. For janitors, unlike normal workers, the net is calculated as ₺2 thousand 501, as income and stamp taxes are not levied.

The total cost of the minimum wage for the employer is ₺3 thousand 458 for a worker. ₺2 thousand 943 of this is the gross minimum wage, ₺456 of this is the social security premium, ₺58 of this is the employer unemployment insurance fund.
