US Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo held a meeting with Minister of Commerce Omer Bolat to strengthen US-Turkiye bilateral and commercial relations.
In the statement made by the US Department of Commerce, it was stated that Raimondo congratulated Bolat on his appointment and stated that her ministry supports the increase of US-Turkiye commercial relations during the phone call.
It was stated in the statement that Raimondo and Bolat discussed their ongoing cooperation in the fields of aviation, digital economy and energy, and that Raimondo emphasized the potential of US green technology to contribute to common climate change goals.
In the statement, it was noted that Raimondo also touched upon the US Department of Commerce’s largest trade conference, “Trade Winds”, which will be held in Istanbul in May next year, and invited Minister Bolat to Washington DC to meet in person.
