Textile products produced in Tokat are exported to European countries

The products produced in the textile factory located in Niksar district of Tokat are exported to European countries.

Glaudia Constanze Brandt Fadiloglu, a 56-year-old German woman who settled in Istanbul about 30 years ago, started working in a textile business here.

After a while, Glaudia Constanze Brandt Fadiloglu married Burak Fadiloglu and established her own textile workshop with her husband.

The couple, who subcontracted textile products to workshops in different cities of Turkiye, established a workshop in Tokat’s Niksar district 10 years ago.

From the Fadiloglu couple’s workshop in Niksar, 6 million pieces of textile products under their own brands were sent to European countries, mainly England, in 2022 and 3 million pieces in 2023.

Glaudia Constanze Brandt Fadiloglu told AA correspondent that she has been living in Turkiye for 30 years.

Stating that he received textile-related college education in Germany, Fadiloglu said, “Turkiye is developed in the field of textile. I came to Istanbul because I wanted to work in this field. I started working as an export consultant in a company. Then I met my wife and got married.”

Fadiloglu explained that after establishing their own workshop with his wife, they made contract manufacturing and sent it to America and England, and said:

“There were workshops where we worked in the Black Sea Region. We liked Niksar very much at that time. Since its people come from agriculture, they have manual skills. They are business-oriented. We established our textile factory and put it into operation. Our dream was to employ 100-150 people, but now we employ 400 people. We mainly make combed knitted fabrics and produce women’s and children’s clothes. We buy fabric from Thrace and Istanbul. Our customers are from the UK, Germany and Spain, but predominantly the UK.”
