Turkish aircraft seat manufacturer “TSI Seats” made its first deliveries to Turkish Airlines (THY) brand AnadoluJet.
According to the statement made by the Turkish Airlines Press Consultancy, as a result of the agreement made for 17 “Boeing 737-800” type aircraft, which AnadoluJet has added to its fleet, domestic and national economy class seats produced by TSI Aircraft Seat Production Inc. will be used.
Considering the fuel savings of TSI Seats, which is of great importance for airline companies, the economy class seats stand out with their lightness in the model designed. The remaining deliveries within the scope of the project, 5 of which have already been delivered and gradually started flights, are planned to be completed at the beginning of the second quarter of this year.
TSI Seats, whose primary goal for this year is to offer innovative and effective solutions for the needs of the market for new seat designs, continues its design, engineering, production and R&D activities with its ever-growing staff.
With the Airbus BFE contract signed in November 2019 for “A320”, “A330” and “A350” type aircraft, TSI Ucak Koltuk Uretim Inc., a joint subsidiary of THY and Kibar Holding, In January 2020, the “Epianka” and “Skysofa” model economy class seats began to be included in the PFP category in the Airbus catalog.
TSI also delivered seats for 23 aircraft in 2020, primarily for the “Airbus A321” and “Boeing B787” projects.
