Turkey has a very attractive real estate market: European Bank

Stepanova reported that the exchange rate is an important opportunity for foreign investors to enter Turkey and although it is quite a challenging industry real estate is a very active sector.

Stepanova described the unique beauties Turkey has, its beaches, sea, sun, Cappadocia, and similar historical and touristic resorts that make Turkey attractive. She also stated that there are many more undiscovered beauties, as well as the hospitality that is rare in the world.

Emphasizing that the advantage of a young and hard-working population to Turkey Stepanova stated that aging countries will lose power in the future.

Stepanova added, “Besides these and other similar features Turkey’s attractive real estate sector offers important opportunities for foreign investors. Investors should look very optimistic about Turkey in this regard.”

Turkish valuation reports are accepted in the world

Turkey Appraisers Association (TDUB) Encina Aydogdu, Chairman of the Board of Directors,  said that the majority of the valuation report generated in Turkey is accepted in the world and the majority of the industry is able to prepare a valuation report in accordance with international standards in a fast time.

Touching on the need to make technology investments in order to follow the developments in valuation and get fast results, Aydogdu made the following statements:

“As the Association, we have prepared serious software. We are trying to put them into use. We are implementing content software and software that allows you to observe all changes and transfer some modules to the digital environment quickly. We are carrying out projects that will attract attention. Foreign investors are very satisfied with Turkish Appraisers recently. We are working to increase investment and speed up the process in this field. “

Open-air in retail, certification in tourism will stand out

Galataport Istanbul Deputy General Manager Irem Yucel Kaymak stated that real estate investments will continue after the coronavirus epidemic and said that even if the understandings, habits, and ways of doing business change, the new order will be adapted and the needs will continue.

Stating that open-air will be a little more prominent in retail, Kaymak said, “Trust in tourism and hygiene standards started to stand out with the guarantees given by the brand. We will see more certification now.” 

Pelin Akin Ozalp, Member of the Board of Directors of Akfen Holding, stated that communication with foreign investors should not be interrupted even in all difficult processes, “It is necessary to act and be prepared as if we will always be cooperating with them. We have to be in close cooperation”

She said, “If the companies abroad are bigger than us and if we have something to learn from them, we should listen to them and follow a compromise policy with them.”
