DS Automobiles quadrupled its sales in the first quarter

DS Automobiles increased its sales in the first quarter of the year to 717 units, quadrupling compared to the same period of 2022.

According to the statement made by DS Automobiles, the company continues to reflect its rising sales chart to its sales figures.

Gaining great momentum in this area in March, DS Automobiles quadrupled its sales in the first quarter of the year compared to the same period of 2022, reaching a total of 717 sales. Increasing its share in the premium segment by 257% with increasing sales figures, DS Automobiles increased its market share in this segment from 1.6% to 4.1%.

The premium SUV model, the new DS 7, which played an active role in the brand’s achievement of these results, increased its sales figure from 134 units as DS 7 Crossback in the first quarter of last year to 546 units in the same period of 2023 with an increase of over 400%. With these results, the share of the new DS 7 in the segment increased from 4.7% to 15.6%.

‘There is a lot of interest in the new DS 7’

DS Turkiye General Manager Selim Eskinazi, whose views are included in the statement, stated that they made a total of 179 sales in the first quarter of last year, and that the new DS 7 they introduced at the end of 2022 continues to make a significant contribution to sales.

Noting that they reached 55% of the DS 7 Crossback sold last year, in the first quarter, Eskinazi said:

‘We sold 546 new DS 7 units in the first quarter of 2023. While the total passenger car market reached 175 thousand 421 units in the first quarter of this year, 116 thousand 834 vehicles were sold in the same period of 2022. Among the sales in the first quarter of last year, 11 thousand 167 units were premium cars. In the same period of this year, premium automobile sales reached 17,404 units. As DS Automobiles, we have grown much faster than the growing market. With the sales of 717 units in the premium market, DS Automobiles achieved a strong growth compared to the first quarter of last year.’

Eskinazi stated that model-based sales quadrupled with the launch of the new DS 7 and stated that they are the leader in the PHEV segment with the DS 7 e-Tense according to the first quarter results.

Expressing that there is a great interest in the new DS 7 in Turkiye, Eskinazi noted that they continue to work at full speed to meet the demands of the customers.

‘We invest in both sales and after-sales services’

Selim Eskinazi pointed out that customer satisfaction, like DS Automobiles’ sales, has increased rapidly, and made the following assessments:

“We managed to achieve 100% sales satisfaction in the first quarter. We continue to develop and expand our sales network in Turkiye. Our first goal will be to commission the new DS Store Gaziantep in the summer. We continue to invest in after-sales services as well as in sales. In this context, we are developing DS Service Ankara with new investments and increasing its service capacity. With a planned expansion investment, DS Store Bodrum will increase both its sales and after-sales service capacity in the second half of the year.’
