Dubai Taxi Company in strategic partnership deal with talabat UAE

Dubai Taxi Company (DTC), the leading provider of comprehensive mobility solutions in Dubai, has signed a strategic partnership agreement with talabat UAE, the region’s leading delivery platform to offer transportation and delivery solutions, utilizing DTC’s diverse fleet of vehicles.

The collaboration comes in line with DTC’s growth strategy aimed at establishing its role as a leading entity in both local and international transport and delivery markets within the e-commerce sector. It will create avenues for enhanced investment, improved commercial partnerships,and increased revenue potential.

This strategic partnership between DTC and talabat UAE underscores talabat’s commitment to providing its customers with the best delivery experience possible. By leveraging DTC’s extensive network and advanced logistics technologies, talabat can ensure faster, more reliable delivery services throughout the UAE. This collaboration not only enhances talabat UAE’s operational efficiency but also reinforces its position as the region’s leading delivery platform, dedicated to innovation and customer satisfaction.

The agreement was inked in Dubai by Abdulla Ibrahim Almeer, DTC’s Chief Business Transformation Officer, William K. Oxiwan and Zvikempororo Christian Charimari, from talabat.

Under the agreement, DTC will facilitate the deployment of logistics and delivery technology solutions, offering fast and reliable delivery services for food and products to talabat UAE. It will utilize its extensive network to amplify and expand talabat’s fleet throughout the UAE, ensuring more efficient delivery services.

DTC was recognised as a public joint stock company under Law No. (21) of 2023. The Company is a leading provider of comprehensive mobility solutions in Dubai, operating a fleet of more than 7,800 vehicles, including more than 5,300 taxis. DTC was established in 1994 to operate a fleet of taxis and has since expanded to offer an extensive range of integrated mobility solutions across four key business lines: taxis, VIP limousines, buses and last-mile delivery bike services. DTC is the number one taxi operator by fleet size in Dubai with an approximately 46% market share. In 2023, the Company’s taxis and limousines completed 46 million trips.

Meanwhile, Dubai Chamber of Commerce, one of the three chambers operating under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, has announced the establishment of the Kazakhstan Business Council to enhance bilateral trade and investment ties between the business communities in Dubai and Kazakhstan.

The establishment of the Business Council reflects the growing economic relations between the two markets. The number of companies from Kazakhstan registered as active members of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce reached 589 at the end of Q1 2024.

The Business Council’s inaugural Annual General Meeting was held at Dubai Chambers’ headquarters. Participants discussed ways to further strengthen the council’s membership for the mutual benefit of both Dubai and Kazakhstan, together with the upcoming programme of events during the year ahead.
