New $54.5million manufacturing facility planned in Dubai, to create 300 jobs

Silver Line Gate Group, one of the major powdered milk suppliers in the Middle East, will build a manufacturing facility worth AED 200 million ($54.5 million) in Dubai.

The fully-automated facility, which will occupy an area of 1.37 million square feet in Dubai Industrial City, a member of TECOM Group, will produce milk powder, butter and other bakery products,and is expected to create more than 300 jobs.

The products will be exported to various markets overseas, including the GCC, Africa and Southeast Asia.

The investment, which will include building a warehouse and corporate offices, is expected to boost foreign trade and support the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.

It will cater to B2B and B2C customers and support the distribution of products, such as butter, whey powder and vegetable shortening to bakeries, restaurants, ice cream manufacturers, hotels, caterers and other users across the UAE.

Dubai Industrial City is home to a growing number of food manufacturers.

Silver Line Gate said it has seen a growing demand for powdered milk and related products across the region.

The Middle East and Africa dairy ingredients market is forecast to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.7% between 2020 and 2025, according to Mordor Intelligence.
