€200 million hotel investment in Belek by Aygun Group

Aygun Group of Companies, which is among the leaders of the Turkish tourism sector, continues its investments uninterruptedly despite the pandemic. The group, which has served with a total of 13 hotels in Istanbul, Antalya, Bodrum and Berlin, brought its new investment Cullinan Belek to the sector. The project, implemented by the company with an investment of €200 million, will begin to welcome its guests in June. Located on an area of 170 thousand square meters, Cullinan Belek consists of 600 rooms, 10 of which are villas. The hotel, which will serve in the luxury segment, also has a 36-hole golf course.

THE NUMBER OF BEDS EXCEEDS 11 THOUSAND

Noting that they have been serving the Turkish tourism industry for many years, Aygun Group of Companies Chairman of the Board Mehmet Aygun said, “Our industry has gone through a very difficult process due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which has affected the whole world. During this period, all borders were closed, businesses stopped. Countries gave a very difficult test. However, we did not stop our investments despite this difficult process. We have maintained our faith in both our country and the industry. We have implemented Cullinan Belek, one of the most special projects of our group, with an investment of €200 million.” Explaining that as Aygun Group of Companies, they have 13 hotels in Istanbul, Antalya, Bodrum and Berlin, Aygun said, “We serve with a bed capacity of 10,188. With the new investment, our bed capacity will increase to 11,388.”

EMPLOYMENT OF TWO THOUSAND PEOPLE

Pointing out that Cullinan Belek is positioned in the luxury segment, Aygun said, “A new era has begun in tourism. Our guests want to try a personalized holiday. We have developed a very special concept based on this.” Explaining that 7 thousand people worked in the construction of the hotel, Aygun noted that 2 thousand people are currently employed in the hotel. Pointing out that there is a 36-hole golf course in the hotel, Aygun said: “We will attract guests to our hotel for 12 months with golf tourism. Although we are just opening, we received 80% reservation requests for the summer season.”
