Elon Musk’s social media platform X has significantly increased the prices of its paid Premium subscriptions. According to an official statement from X, the cost of a Premium+ subscription has risen by 88% on a monthly basis and 79% on an annual basis. This marks the second price hike in the last two months for the ad-free, feature-rich Premium+ plan.
Following the price increase in December, this latest adjustment has significantly raised costs for users.

With the new pricing, the monthly subscription fee has increased to 1,450 TL, while the annual fee has jumped to 14,320 TL. There are no price changes for other subscription plans at the moment. The Basic subscription remains 56.25 TL per month, while the regular Premium plan is 150 TL per month.
Is the Price Hike Linked to X’s AI Ambitions?
This decision comes right after Elon Musk’s AI company xAI unveiled its new Grok 3 model. Designed to compete with AI giants like OpenAI and Google, Grok 3 will be available to Premium+ subscribers starting next week.
Industry experts speculate that X may have increased its subscription fees to fund the development of its AI technology, including future upgrades to Grok and other AI-driven features.
