The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources has declared candidate Renewable Energy Resource Areas (RERA) for the first offshore wind power plant (WPP).
In the statement made on the website of the Ministry, it was reported that 4 offshore WPP sites in Bandirma, Bozcaada, Gelibolu and Karabiga were determined as candidate RERA within the scope of the Renewable Energy Resource Areas Regulation.
In the said statement, it was noted:
“Within the scope of the Renewable Energy Resource Areas Regulation published in the Official Gazette dated 09/10/2016 and numbered 29852, the areas whose numerical information (.kml) are given below have been determined as Offshore WPP Candidate RERA, and detailed studies have been started to declare these areas as renewable energy resource areas.”
