7 agreements signed between Turkey and Nigeria

In the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and President of Nigeria Mohammed Buhari, 7 agreements were signed between the two countries.

Various agreements were signed after President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Buhari held one-on-one and inter-delegation meetings at the Nigerian Presidential Palace.

In this context, between the two countries, “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for the Prevention of Double Taxation in Income Taxes and Prevention of Tax Evasion and Avoidance of Taxes” was signed by Mehmet Mus, Minister of Commerce, and Zainab Ahmed, Nigerian Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning.

“Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on Cooperation in the Field of Mining”, “The Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on Cooperation in the Field of Hydrocarbons” and the “Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on Cooperation in the Field of Energy” was signed by the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Fatih Donmez, and the Nigerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffery Onyeama.

“Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on Cooperation in the Field of Youth” and “Memorandum of Understanding on the Establishment of a Political Consultation Mechanism between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria” were also signed by Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and Nigerian Foreign Minister Geoffery Onyeama.

The “Defense Industry Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria” was signed by the President of the Defense Industry Ismail Demir and the Nigerian Minister of Foreign Affairs Geoffery Onyeama.
