Surveillance will be implemented in the import of agricultural UAVs

Surveillance will be implemented in the imports of some agricultural unmanned aerial vehicles.

The “Communiqué on the Implementation of Surveillance in Imports” of the Ministry of Commerce was published in the Official Gazette.

Accordingly, some agricultural unmanned aerial vehicles with a unit value below the customs value determined as $30 thousand per piece, with a maximum take-off weight of 7-25 kilograms and 25-150 kilograms, will be subject to surveillance.

The application will be valid for aircraft that are subject to licensing within the scope of the Regulation on Plant Protection Tools and Machines dated June 9, 2021 and numbered 31506 repetitively.

The specified goods can only be imported with a surveillance document to be issued by the General Directorate of Import.

The Communiqué will enter into force after 30 days.
