Chicken meat production increased by 1% on an annual basis in November

Chicken meat production across Turkiye increased by 1% to 202 thousand 143 tons in November 2023 compared to the same month of the previous year, and chicken egg production increased by 3.5% to 1 billion 797 million 226 thousand units.

Turkish Statistical Institute announced poultry production data for the period of November 2023.

Accordingly, 202 thousand 143 tons of chicken meat was produced in November and production increased by 1% on an annual basis.

While 1 billion 797 million 226 thousand chicken eggs were produced in Turkiye in November, a 3.5% increase was observed on an annual basis.

In November last year, 109 million 601 thousand chickens were slaughtered. The number of chickens slaughtered remained at the same level as November 2022.

While 4 thousand 251 tons of turkey meat was produced in the month in question, there was a 4.3% decrease on an annual basis.

In the January-November period, compared to the same period of the previous year, the number of chickens slaughtered decreased by 6.2%, turkey meat production decreased by 12.2%, chicken meat production decreased by 3.9%, while chicken egg production increased by 3.9%.
