Expanded efforts to prevent tax loss evasion in the real estate sector from the Ministry of Treasury

As a result of the examinations carried out by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance on 200 thousand taxpayers, it was determined that 28 thousand 845 taxpayers did not report their rental income at all or made incomplete declarations as of last year.

An analysis was carried out for those who earn rental income in the real estate sector and real estate agents by the Risk Analysis General Directorate of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance.

In this context, approximately 200 thousand taxpayers who did not declare their rental income or reported incomplete / incorrectly as of 2021 through the RADAR System were under the microscope.

Within the scope of the analysis, it was determined that 28,845 taxpayers did not declare their rental income at all or made incomplete declarations in 2021. In particular, for taxpayers who are considered risky, field inspections have been started by the Revenue Administration.

5 thousand 589 real estate agents were caught on RADAR

In addition, risk analysis studies continue for real estate agents operating in the real estate sector and who advertise real estate sales or rentals throughout the country.

Those who created speculation in the real estate market, did not declare their income from real estate sales or rentals, and did not fulfill their tax obligations partially or completely were also determined by RADAR.

In the analysis study conducted on the RADAR System and advertisement sites, 5 thousand 589 real estate agents who did not fulfill their tax obligations partially or completely were subjected to analysis.

At the first stage, 683 of these taxpayers were evaluated as risky, and the Tax Inspection Board started investigations.

It was stated that the General Directorate of Risk Analysis will continue to work on the identification of risky taxpayers in order to prevent tax loss evasion in the real estate sector.
