Exports of $31.8 million from the Eastern Black Sea Region to the Turkish Republics in 2021

Exports from Trabzon, Rize, Artvin and Gumushane, located in the Eastern Black Sea Region, to the Turkish republics increased by 8% last year and reached $31.8 million.

According to the compilation made by the AA correspondent from the data of the Eastern Black Sea Exporters’ Association (DKIB), 39 thousand 327 tons of exports were made from the Eastern Black Sea Region to the Turkic Republics last year, and an income of $31 million 771 thousand 416 was achieved.

In the previous year, $29 million 535 thousand 476 were earned in return for 23 thousand 562 tons of exports from the region. Thus, last year, exports from the Eastern Black Sea Region to the Turkic Republics increased by 67% in quantity and 8% in value compared to the previous year.

In the said period, Azerbaijan, TRNC and Kazakhstan were the countries to which the most exports were made from the region.

Last year, a revenue of $23 million 585 thousand 178 was obtained in return for 33 thousand 421 tons of exports from the Eastern Black Sea Region to Azerbaijan.

Last year, $2 million 872 thousand 577 were exported to the TRNC and $2 million 864 thousand 173 were exported to Kazakhstan from the Eastern Black Sea Region.

DKIB Chairman of the Board Saffet Kalyoncu reported to Anadolu Agency (AA) that exports from the region to the Turkic republics continue to increase and they will work to achieve more exports.
