According to the data received from the Antalya Governorship Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, the number of tourists coming to the city by air in February increased by 211% compared to the same month of 2021, reaching 150,386. In February 2021, 48,309 tourists came to the city.
194% INCREASE IN THE FIRST 2 MONTHS
In Antalya, which closed the last year with more than 9 million tourists despite the coronavirus epidemic, the tourism data of 2022 increased significantly compared to the January-February period of the previous year, with vaccination studies, ‘safe tourism’ certification and strict epidemic measures in the facilities. The number of tourists coming to the city by air between January 1 and February 28 of 2022 increased by 194% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 288 thousand 990.
In the same period last year, the number of tourists coming to Antalya was recorded as 98,150.
GERMAN TOURISTS RANK FIRST
In February, the most tourists came to Antalya from Germany with 30,969. Russia followed Germany with 27 thousand 488 tourists and England with 17 thousand 482 tourists. Other countries that sent the most tourists to Antalya by air in February were Kazakhstan, Poland, Iran, the Netherlands, Denmark, Israel and Belgium.
