A new place to put your feet up at the world’s busiest international airport has been unveiled.
The flydubai business class lounge has opened at Terminal 2 in Dubai International Airport ahead of the busy winter travel period.
Found just after the passport control and security lanes, the new space will be able to accommodate more than 200 passengers at a time.
The 900-square-metre lounge is decked out with dining options, complimentary Wi-Fi,workstations and those all-important pre-flight charging ports.
It will be available to all flydubai business class passengers departing from Terminal 2 with the low-cost airline.
It’s good timing for the new business class opening as flying in and out of DXB is set to get busier and busier between now and the end of 2024.
flydubai passengers will be able to board their flight from the business class lounge with a dedicated bus service.
In addition to an international buffet and à la carte dining options, the lounge also has shower facilities, a prayer room and offers a relaxing spot escape from the terminal.
Mohamed Hassan, Senior Vice President of Airport Services & Cargo at flydubai, says that lounges will make travel more efficient for those who use it.
He said: “Lounges are a key component for the seamless and comfortable travel experience we aim to provide to our customers.
“The new flydubai Business Class Lounge and boarding gate provide added convenience to our passengers who are looking for a more personalised and efficient travel experience, whether they are travelling for business or leisure.
“We are looking forward to welcoming many of our passengers just in time for the busy holiday travel period.”
Emirates Skywards members can also enjoy select benefits of the new business class lounge depending on their membership tier.
In October, flydubai revealed its new check-in for business class customers which aims to make getting through the gates a smoother experience.
