Turkiye’s exports to Israel reached record levels

While Turkiye’s exports to Israel reached the highest January-November figure of all time with $6 billion 111 million, the biggest contribution to the said record came from the steel industry.

It is seen that the recent normalization of Turkiye’s relations with Israel has reflected positively on the trade of the two countries.

According to the information compiled from the data of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM), Turkiye’s exports to Israel increased by 11.9% in 11 months compared to the same period last year.

Thus, while exports to Israel reached $6 billion 111 million in 11 months, this figure was recorded as the highest January-November figure of all time.

Israel’s share in Turkiye’s total exports was 2.6% in this period.

Israel is in the top 10 in the list of the most exported countries

In the said period, Israel became the 10th country to which Turkiye made the most foreign sales and the 12th country with the highest increase in exports in terms of value. Turkiye’s exports to Israel increased by $650 million 523 thousand in the 11 months of the year compared to the same period of the previous year.

The industrial sector came to the fore in exports to the country. The steel industry made the most exports to the country with $1 billion 411 million.

The steel industry was followed by chemicals and products with $670 million 990 thousand, automotive industry with $545 million 583 thousand, ready-made clothing and apparel with $483 million 61 thousand, furniture, paper and forestry products followed with $443 million 137 thousand, cement glass ceramics and earthenware products with $438 million 62 thousand.

The sectors in which the country showed the least demand were ornamental plants and products with $58 thousand, ship yachts and services with 758 thousand, other industrial products with $4 million 856 thousand, olive and olive oil with $8 million 636 thousand, and hazelnut products with $12 million 37 thousand.

Steel industry leads in export growth

In the January-November period, the steel industry made the highest increase in exports to Israel, with $172 million 525 thousand.

Exports to the country increased by $94 million 460 thousand, electricity and electronics by $88 million 189 thousand, furniture, paper and forestry products by $77 million 224 thousand, and chemical materials and products by $46 million 374 thousand.

The electricity and electronics sector exported $397 million 870 thousand to the country.
