
ISTANBUL, June 25, 2026 — Forbes has released its latest Global 2000 ranking of the world’s largest publicly traded companies, with 12 Turkish firms earning a place among the global corporate elite. The annual list evaluates companies based on a combination of sales, profits, assets, and market value.
The Forbes Global 2000 remains one of the most closely watched benchmarks of corporate performance worldwide. In the latest edition, global banking, technology, energy, and industrial giants continued to dominate the rankings, while Turkish companies strengthened their presence on the international stage.
Among the Turkish companies featured in the ranking are major banking institutions, industrial conglomerates, retailers, and transportation firms. Turkish banks maintained a strong representation, reflecting the sector’s significant asset base and profitability, while leading industrial groups and consumer-focused companies also secured positions on the list.
The Turkish companies included in the Global 2000 ranking are:
- Turkish Airlines
- Türkiye İş Bankası
- VakıfBank
- Akbank
- Halkbank
- Koç Holding
- Sabancı Holding
- Ford Otosan
- BİM
- Anadolu Grubu
- Two additional Turkish companies were reported to have joined the list, bringing the country’s total representation to 12 firms.
Globally, the ranking was once again led by major financial and technology corporations, with banking giant JPMorgan Chase retaining the top position. The United States continued to account for the largest number of companies on the list.
According to Forbes, the 2,000 companies included in the ranking collectively generated more than $52 trillion in annual revenue, nearly $5 trillion in profits, and over $242 trillion in assets, underscoring the growing scale of the global corporate sector.
Analysts say the presence of 12 Turkish companies in the Global 2000 highlights the resilience and international competitiveness of Türkiye’s banking, industrial, retail, and transportation sectors despite ongoing economic and geopolitical challenges.
