Foreign Producer Price Index increased by 111,34% annually

According to the data of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), the Foreign Producer Price Index increased by 111.34% annually and 0.66% monthly in July.

Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the data of the Foreign Producer Price Index for July 2022.

Accordingly, PPI abroad increased by 0.66% compared to the previous month in July, by 36.19% compared to December of the previous year, by 111.34% compared to the same month of the previous year and by 81.69% on the averages of twelve months.

MANUFACTURING IN THE TWO MAIN SECTORS OF THE INDUSTRY INCREASED 111,34% ANNUALLY

Annual changes of the two sectors of the industry; an increase of 110.75% in mining and quarrying and an increase of 111.34% in manufacturing.

Annual changes of the main industrial groups; an increase of 124.56% in intermediate goods, 94.23% in durable consumer goods, 95.60% in non-durable consumer goods, 271.73% in energy and 96.62% in capital goods.

MANUFACTURING IN THE TWO MAIN SECTORS OF THE INDUSTRY INCREASED 0.68% MONTHLY

The monthly changes of the two sectors of the industry were realized as a decrease of 0.20% in mining and quarrying and an increase of 0.68% in manufacturing.

Monthly changes of main industrial groups; 1.15% increase in intermediate goods, 1.53% increase in durable consumer goods, 2.03% increase in non-durable consumer goods, 9.89% decrease in energy and 0.31% increase in capital goods.

COMPARED TO ANNUAL YD-PPI, 15 SUB-SECTORS HAVE CHANGED LOWER AND 10 SUB-INDECTORS HIGHER

Among the YD-PPI sectors, the sub-sectors where the indices increased the least were 71.92%, tobacco products 78.43%, leather and related products 87.78%. On the other hand, coke and refined petroleum products were the sub-sectors where the indexes increased the most with 271.73%, chemicals and chemical products with 136.60% and basic metals with 134.31%.

7 SUB-SECTORS HAVE CHANGED LOWER AND 18 SUB-INDECTORS HIGHER COMPARED TO THE MONTHLY YD-PPI

Among the YD-PPI sectors, coke and refined petroleum products fell by 9.89%, metal ores by 3.55%, and basic metals by 0.87%, the sub-sectors in which the indices decreased the most. On the other hand, printing and recording services were the sub-sectors where the indexes increased the most with 4.35%, beverages by 4.07%, chemicals and chemical products by 4.02%.
