
The Foreign Producer Price Index (YD-ÜFE) showed an increase of 3.94% on a monthly basis and 35.4% on an annual basis in March.
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) announced the YD-ÜFE data for March.
According to the data, YD-ÜFE rose by 3.94% compared to the previous month, by 10.73% compared to December of last year, by 35.4% compared to the same month of the previous year, and by 30.23% based on twelve-month averages. When looking at the annual changes in the two main sectors of industry, there was an increase of 53.25% in mining and stone quarrying, and an increase of 35.1% in manufacturing.
Considering the annual changes of the main industrial groups:
- Intermediate goods: Increased by 29.85%
- Durable consumer goods: Increased by 39.86%
- Non-durable consumer goods: Increased by 39.45%
- Energy: Increased by 88.91%
- Capital goods: Increased by 27.93%
The monthly changes for the two main sectors of industry were calculated as a 1.97% increase in mining and stone quarrying and a 3.98% increase in manufacturing. Looking at the monthly changes of the main industrial groups:
- Intermediate goods: Increased by 1.91%
- Durable consumer goods: Increased by 0.9%
- Non-durable consumer goods: Increased by 0.99%
- Energy: Increased by 58.87%
- Capital goods: Decreased by 0.07%
