The number of tourists to Antalya between January 1 and August 22 increased by 20% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 10 million 64 thousand 782.
According to the data of the Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, the city, which stands out with its sea, sand, sun and natural beauties, historical and touristic places, and luxury facilities, hosts tourists from different countries.
The number of tourists who visited Antalya by air between January 1 and August 22, which entered the season quickly, reached 10 million 64 thousand 782.
1 million 880 thousand tourists came in 22 days
The number of tourists coming to the city on August 1-22 was 1 million 880 thousand 693. In the city, where the active season continues, an increase of 20% was recorded compared to the same period of the previous year.
In 2019, known as the “record year” in tourism, 10 million 5 thousand 325 tourists came by air from January 1 to August 22. The number of tourists this year surpassed the same period of the record year.
