A new record in aircraft and passenger traffic: 118 million 670 thousand passengers were served in 7 months in Turkiye

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu, regarding the passenger and aircraft traffic of 2023, said, “We served 118 million 670 thousand 100 passengers in the first 7 months. Aircraft traffic amounted to 1 million 216 thousand 747.”

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu evaluated the figures of aircraft and passenger traffic in the first 7 months of 2023.

Minister Uraloglu stated that the investments made in the transportation sector have made the country a center of attraction and said, “Passenger and aircraft traffic at our airports is increasing day by day. The large investments we have made in the transportation sector show that our country has become a center of attraction. These figures reveal that we provide the best service to our nation.”

A total of 118 million 670 thousand people preferred the airline

Uraloglu stated that a total of 118 million 670 thousand 100 people use the airline, and the heaviest passenger traffic is on international lines. Uraloglu shared the following information:

“In the 7-month (January-July) period of 2023, 51 million 820 thousand 717 passengers were served on the domestic line, 66 million 724 thousand 160 on the international line, and 118 million 670 thousand 100 passengers in total. In aircraft traffic, a total of 1 million 216 thousand 747 aircraft traffic was realized, with 500 thousand 886 on domestic lines, 447 thousand 926 and 267 thousand 935 on international lines.

Airplane and passenger traffic intensified in July

Referring to the data on aircraft and passenger mobility for July 2023, Minister Uraloglu said that 85 thousand 184 aircraft on domestic routes, 95 thousand 126 aircraft on international routes, 46 thousand 107 aircraft landing and taking off in overpass traffic, and that the total aircraft traffic reached 226 thousand 417.

Uraloglu said, “In July 2023, compared to the same period of the previous year, there was an increase of 10.4% in domestic air traffic, 10.5% in international air traffic and 12.9% in total air traffic.”

A total of 24 million 189 thousand passengers were served

In July 2023, 9 million 288 thousand 727 passengers were served on the domestic line, 14 million 900 thousand 432 passengers on the international line, and a total of 24 million 189 thousand 159 passengers.

In freight traffic, it reached 95 thousand 136 tons on domestic lines, 343 thousand 618 tons on international lines, and a total of 438 thousand 754 tons.
