New trims and advanced features elevate the full-size SUV
The grand reveal of GMC’s latest powerhouse, the new Yukon recently took place in Abu Dhabi. As a flagship full-size SUV with an enduring legacy, the Yukon has long been a symbol of strength, capability, and refinement in the Middle East. This latest iteration marks an exciting evolution for the model, blending cutting-edge technology with bold design changes tailored for drivers who are looking for both performance and sophistication.
Set to arrive early next year, the new Yukon represents a confident step forward for GMC, with significant upgrades in both functionality and aesthetics. The range now includes four trims: the versatile Elevation, the rugged AT4, the debut AT4 Ultimate, and the luxe Denali.
“For over 33 years, the GMC Yukon has been a symbol of power, boldness and luxury in the region, and firmly established itself as the cornerstone of the GMC brand,” said Furrukh Juwaid, Chief Marketing Officer of GMC Middle East & Africa. “The launch of the updated GMC Yukon marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in this legacy, driven by one bold vision: More Power To You. This goes beyond horsepower and torque it’s about delivering more in every way: more capability, more technology, more innovation and above all, more power to go wherever the road may lead.”
Under the bonnet, the Yukon continues to deliver the robust performance expected from GMC. Buyers have the option of two V8 engines: a 5.3-litre variant producing 355 horsepower or a more potent 6.2-litre model delivering an impressive 420 horsepower and 623 Nm of torque. Both are paired with a seamless 10-speed automatic transmission, ensuring smooth power delivery whether cruising the highway or navigating tougher terrain.
The Yukon’s refreshed design is also one to look out for. Its exterior combines refined details with an almost muscular feeling, featuring a redesigned grille, bold lighting elements, and a panoramic sunroof that adds a touch of openness to the cabin. Inside, it’s all about luxury and technology. Highlights include a 16.8-inch vertical infotainment screen, full-grain leather seating, and fine wood accents—all tailored for a seamless driver and passenger experience.
One of the most exciting additions is the AT4 Ultimate trim, an offering that redefines off-road luxury. With its off-road styling, 20-inch wheels clad in all-terrain tyres, and a front skid plate, it’s as tough as they come. But step inside, and the Yukon AT4 Ultimate offers the luxury of massage-enabled leather seats, three rows of leather seating, and a Bose 14-speaker surround sound system.
Some of the technological advancements include GMC’s first Night Vision system, which uses thermal imaging to improve visibility in low-light conditions, alerting drivers to pedestrians and animals. It’s paired with a four-corner Air Ride Adaptive Suspension, ensuring both comfort and capability, whether on city streets or rugged trails.
Safety and connectivity have also been prioritised in this update. The new Yukon introduces a suite of advanced driver assistance features, from pedestrian detection to intersection emergency braking, alongside a three-year subscription to OnStar services.
As the new Yukon prepares to hit Middle Eastern roads soon, GMC solidifies its place at the intersection of luxury and capability, proving once again why its flagship SUV remains a symbol of excellence in the region.
