Gold Prices Rise on Borsa Istanbul

ISTANBUL, June 22, 2026 — Gold prices on Borsa Istanbul moved higher on Monday, with the kilogram price of standard gold closing at TRY 6.322 million, marking a 0.3% increase from the previous trading session. The rise reflects renewed strength in the precious metals market amid continued investor interest in safe-haven assets.

According to data from the Borsa Istanbul Precious Metals and Diamond Market (KMKTP), standard gold traded within a range of TRY 6.284 million to TRY 6.345 million per kilogram during the session before settling at its closing level. The previous close on Friday was TRY 6.300 million per kilogram.

Strong Trading Activity

Total trading volume in the gold market reached approximately TRY 14.83 billion, while transaction volume amounted to 2,350.48 kilograms. Across all precious metals traded on the exchange, total turnover exceeded TRY 15 billion.

Leading Market Participants

The most active institutions in Monday’s trading included Türkiye İş Bankası, Garanti BBVA, Dünya Katılım Bankası, Uğuras Kıymetli Madenler, and NMGlobal Kıymetli Madenler.

Market Outlook

The latest increase adds to a period of volatility in precious metals markets, where gold continues to attract investors seeking protection against economic uncertainty and currency fluctuations. Analysts note that movements in global gold prices, central bank policies, and exchange-rate developments remain key drivers of domestic gold valuations.
