Hepsiburada Aims to Empower 120,000 Women Entrepreneurs by 2028

Hepsiburada’s “Technology Power for Entrepreneurial Women” program has already integrated over 60,000 women and 280 women’s cooperatives into e-commerce. CEO Nilhan Onal Gokcetekin announced, “We have signed a new cooperation protocol with the Ministry of Family and Social Services. In 5 years, we will double this number to 120,000.” Currently, 24% of Hepsiburada’s active sellers are women, and the company is targeting 120,000 entrepreneurial women by 2030.

Additionally, through E-commerce Specialization Centers in Adana, Hatay, and Kahramanmaras, more than 4,000 women from earthquake-affected regions have been supported with education, marketing, technology, and logistics to engage in e-commerce.

Hepsiburada Targets $5 Billion Revenue by 2024

Speaking at the Entrepreneurial Women’s New Year Bazaar at Hepsiburada’s headquarters, CEO Nilhan Onal Gokcetekin emphasized the program’s impact and future goals. The company aims to end 2024 with $5 billion in revenue.

“Our ‘Technology Power for Entrepreneurial Women’ program, which began in 2017 with just a few women, has now reached over 60,000 participants and 280 cooperatives,” said Gokcetekin. “We not only provide special support for women to enter e-commerce but also share regular sectoral data analyses and offer guidance on achieving success. We have a dedicated team and tools for this.”

Gokcetekin highlighted the recent partnership with the Ministry of Family and Social Services under the protocol, “Turkey’s Entrepreneurial Women.” This initiative will bring together the public and private sectors to expand support nationwide. “We’ll organize city visits, training sessions, and webinars to reach our goal of doubling the number of women entrepreneurs in 5 years and solidifying our leadership in this field,” she added.
