Hepsiburada Expands Support for Women Entrepreneurs and Cooperatives

ISTANBUL — Turkish e-commerce platform Hepsiburada has expanded its support for women entrepreneurs and women-led cooperatives through its Technology Empowerment for Women Entrepreneurs program, offering long-term incentives aimed at increasing their participation in the digital economy.

Announced ahead of International Day of Cooperatives, the initiative provides women cooperatives with a permanent 1% sales commission rate, free shipping, complimentary product photography for up to 500 items, and advertising credits to help improve product visibility on the platform. Hepsiburada will also continue to cover shipping costs for all orders, including returns.

Since its launch in 2017, the Technology Empowerment for Women Entrepreneurs program has reached more than 72,000 women entrepreneurs and over 320 women’s cooperatives, according to the company. The initiative combines e-commerce support with financial inclusion by providing access to preferential banking products and services through partnerships with nine banks under its “Women Entrepreneurs Overcoming Financial Barriers” project.

As part of its collaboration with the Women Entrepreneurs Association of Türkiye (KAGİDER), five women’s cooperatives have also been selected to join the Your Companion Is Here Training and Mentorship Program, where they will receive mentoring from experienced women entrepreneurs who are members of the association.

To mark International Day of Cooperatives, Hepsiburada is running a dedicated campaign highlighting products made by women cooperatives on its marketplace through July 6, aiming to increase their visibility and sales while encouraging greater consumer support for locally produced goods.
