In the first nine months of the year, 36,824 hybrid cars were sold in Turkey. Hybrid sales rose by 186%. While the share of hybrids in the total market was only 0.04% in 2012, it reached 2.91% in 2020 and 8.5% in the January-September 2021 period. The fact that corporate companies turned to hybrids in their fleet preferences also had an impact on this increase. Toyota sold 14,269 hybrid cars in Turkey in nine months. While the share of hybrids in total Toyota passenger car sales reached 41%, the Corolla Hybrid produced in Turkey became the most preferred hybrid model with 12 thousand 81 units. 1,848 units of the C-HR Hybrid were sold.
