
İSTANBUL (AA) – The Bloomberg HT Sustainable Agriculture and Food Summit, set to take place on June 12, 2025, will bring together key stakeholders from government, business, and civil society to explore the future of sustainable agriculture and food systems in Türkiye.
The summit will feature the participation of Türkiye’s Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı, alongside industry experts and thought leaders. Held under the consultancy of Yirmidört İletişim, the event aims to facilitate dialogue on topics such as food security and quality, financing of sustainable agricultural practices, ecosystem transformation, and collaborative innovation.
In various panels, participants will examine the transformation of the agriculture and food industries through the lens of sustainability. Topics will include sustainable farming and food practices, food safety and quality, local production, and global supply chains, with a focus on Türkiye’s potential in these domains and the financial models needed to support future growth.
Minister İbrahim Yumaklı will join a special session titled “National Vision and Strategies in Agriculture and Food”, providing insight into the government’s roadmap for the sector.
Another key session, “The Present and Future of Agriculture”, will be moderated by Bloomberg HT Agriculture and Food Editor İrfan Donat and will feature FAO Deputy Director-General and Regional Representative for Europe and Central Asia Viorel Gutu. The session will analyze global and regional agricultural dynamics based on the latest data.
A Roadmap for Sustainable Transformation
Throughout the day, expert predictions, strategic insights, and panel discussions will contribute to the creation of a comprehensive declaration titled “Transformation in Agriculture and Food: Türkiye Outcome Report”. This final document will be developed in collaboration with Bain & Company, the summit’s strategic content advisor.
The declaration will provide a deep analysis of the current state and potential of Türkiye’s agriculture and food sector, outlining strategic objectives and presenting a sustainable roadmap for the industry.
