ISO Venture Capital Investment Fund Makes Its First Start-Up Investment in Local AI Company Ono

The Istanbul Chamber of Industry (İSO) has made its first strategic start-up investment through the İSO Venture Capital Investment Fund (İSO GSYF) in Ono, a local artificial intelligence company. İSO Chairman Erdal Bahçıvan said, “We are delighted to see the first seed we planted through İSO GSYF, which we established last year, take root with this first investment.”

Established to support Türkiye’s industrial sector in its digital transformation, foster innovative ventures, and integrate future technologies into industrial processes, the İSO GSYF has chosen Ono as its first investment target.

Ono, which integrates artificial intelligence into recruitment, career development, and performance management processes, stands out for its innovative approach in human resources technologies.

AI Adoption in Industrial HR Processes to Accelerate

Under the investment, İSO member companies—recognized as key players in Turkish industry—will be encouraged to adopt Ono’s AI-based platforms. This is expected to expand the use of AI-supported technologies particularly in recruitment and internship programs within industrial enterprises.

The signing ceremony was attended by İSO Chairman Erdal Bahçıvan, Ono Founder Tunç Erman, İSO Assembly President Ender Yılmaz, and İSO Vice Chairman İrfan Özhamaratlı.

First Investment of the Venture Fund

Speaking about the investment, İSO Chairman Bahçıvan stated:

“As the Istanbul Chamber of Industry, rather than remaining a mere observer in this period of profound global transformation, we have chosen to act with a global and holistic mindset—uniting rationality with reality, recognizing both risks and opportunities. With İSO GSYF, which we established last year, we are proud to make our first investment and plant our first seed. We firmly believe that, in the face of the competitive global environment ahead, our fund will continue to guide and support new investments aligned with its mission, contributing significantly to the desired transformation of our industry and serving as a role model.”

Ono Founder Tunç Erman also commented:

“We support the HR operations of 138 companies across eight countries with our locally developed artificial intelligence solutions. We serve in 20 languages worldwide with various modules covering recruitment, career management, and performance processes. We are delighted to realize a first-of-its-kind collaboration with İSO’s valuable investment. This partnership will create major value both for Ono’s growth and for the companies within İSO.”
