Jeep unveils first electric Avenger in Korea

Jeep unveiled its first pure electric SUV Avenger in Korea revealing the model for the first time in the Asian market.

The company delivered the brand’s vision and promised to continue its efforts toward zero emission, while at the same time promoting the brand’s battery electric vehicle (BEV) for domestic customers during the Avenger Asia Premiere held at the Jeep Showroom in Guri, Gyeonggi Province, Tuesday.

Avenger special exhibitions will be held at seven Jeep-only exhibition halls nationwide for about two weeks starting Feb. 28 to March 14. Customers visiting the exhibition hall during this period can meet the Jeep Avenger, which was unveiled for the first time in Asia,and enjoy the automaker’s entertainment programs.

“We are delighted to have an opportunity to present the most anticipated vehicle at the moment in the Korean market and to the customers,” said Jake Aumann, the managing director of Stellantis Korea said. “We’re looking forward to seeing the Avenger on Korean roads in the near future”

The Avenger is Jeep’s first pure electric SUV, and is the first model unveiled among the pure electric SUV lineup announced at the Stellantis long-term strategy presentation in March last year. Since its world premiere at the 2022 Paris Motor Show, it has received a lot of attention for its unique and competitive design, clean and solid interior not to mention excellent mileage.

Following a successful launch ceremony in the European market, such as exceeding 10,000 pre-orders in a month, Jeep was selected as the European Car of the Year 2023 for the first time in the brand’s history. The vehicle is planned to be released sequentially in major strategic markets such as Korea and Japan in the future.
