Kalyon PV and IT Valley signed an agreement in renewable energy

A sponsorship agreement in renewable energy was signed between Kalyon PV, Bilisim Vadisi (IT Valley) and Hasan Kalyoncu University. Kalyon PV donated 2,619 panels to the valley.

A signing ceremony and a “Renewable Energy Workshop” were held within the scope of “Renewable Energy Resources Sponsorship” implemented in cooperation with Kalyon PV, IT Valley and Hasan Kalyoncu University. Informatics Valley General Manager Ahmet Serdar Ibrahimcioglu, Kalyon Holding Board Member Kubra Kalyoncu Seherli and Hasan Kalyoncu University Rector Prof. Dr. Turkay Dereli attended the program held in IT Valley. IT Valley General Manager Ahmet Serdar Ibrahimcioglu, who made the opening speech of the workshop, said, “Kalyon PV gifted 2,619 solar panels in order to provide almost all the energy that IT Valley consumes from renewable energy sources.”

ONE OF THE BIGGEST INVESTMENTS

Hasan Kalyoncu University Rector Prof. Dr. Turkay Dereli said, “Today, the first step of a very important cooperation between IT Valley, our university and Kalyon PV is taken. This will have very important outputs. We have very important documents. We will do the work required by this cooperation.” IT Valley General Manager Ahmet Serdar Ibrahimcioglu said that the energy production of the 2,619 panels given as a gift is approximately 1 megawatt, and this will meet half of the energy needs of all entrepreneurs in the valley.

WE HAVE 2 THOUSAND EMPLOYEES

Kubra Kalyoncu Seherli, who said that she named IT Valley as Turkey’s Silicon Valley, also said at the workshop: “There were only four walls here 8 months before opening the factory. There was neither a machine nor an employee. Only 16 people were doing standard work. At the point we have reached today, we have approximately two thousand employees and an R&D team of 100 people.”
