Istanbul — Turkish modular building manufacturer Karmod has completed and delivered a two-storey container office project in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the company announced.
According to Karmod, the container office was installed in the city of Sharjah and will serve as the site office for a villa housing development.
Commenting on the project, Muzaffer Doğrul Ergüçlü, Export Manager of Karmod Container, said the company’s structures are particularly preferred in hot-climate countries such as the UAE due to their high insulation performance.
“Our new-generation containers offer significant advantages, including structural safety, user ergonomics, and strong insulation values,” Ergüçlü said.
He noted that thanks to their ergonomic design, Karmod’s container buildings are widely used in challenging construction environments such as roadworks, energy production sites, and mining areas. Their high insulation performance also makes them especially suitable for regions with extreme heat, including the UAE.
Ergüçlü stated that the latest project completed in the UAE covers a total area of 828 square meters.
“For the two-storey building, we produced 72 container units measuring 230 by 400 centimeters. The 828-square-meter container office building was shipped by sea in a flat-pack system, and our field teams completed the installation within 30 days. The container office will serve as the construction site headquarters for a 550-unit villa housing project to be built in Sharjah,” he said.
