KARMOD PREFABRIK Completes 5th Phase of Steel Housing Project in France

Turkish construction firm delivers 3+1 energy-efficient steel homes in Dijon

Karmod Prefabrik has successfully completed and delivered the fifth phase of its ongoing steel-structure housing project in Dijon, France. The company announced that four new steel homes have been finalized and are now ready for occupancy.

According to a statement from the company, the housing units were produced using steel construction materials, emphasizing structural safety and innovative design. Uğur Kadir, General Manager of Karmod Prefabrik, highlighted the growing brand recognition in France due to the successive steel home projects built in close proximity across the Dijon region.

Kadir noted that Karmod’s steel housing models are gaining attention across Europe for their cost-effective construction system.
“Our homes, produced with steel construction materials, stand out with their structural safety. Thanks to our innovative production system that reduces labor demands, we simplify and speed up construction processes. The resulting labor savings make our steel homes particularly popular across European countries,” he said.

Energy-Efficient, A-Class Steel Homes

The homes in the fifth phase were all designed to meet A-class energy efficiency standards.
“Steel homes are highly compatible with various national insulation regulations,” Kadir added. “They contribute to household budgets by improving climate control and reducing energy use. The homes in this new phase were prepared as energy class A, targeting annual savings of €600 on energy costs.”

Kadir explained that the homes are designed in a 3+1 layout and measure 105 square meters each.
“These houses are a continuation of previous projects in Dijon. Positive local feedback from earlier phases has laid the foundation for new developments,” he said. “All materials for the homes were produced at our Tuzla-Orhanlı facilities in Turkey and transported to the construction site by road. Assembly was carried out by our expert supervisor teams. Thanks to the advantages of the steel structural system, the interiors offer wide and spacious living environments. For heating, we implemented an underfloor heating system.”
