KOSGEB will provide ₺10 billion “Joint Financing Support” to 5 thousand SMEs

KOSGEB President Hasan Basri Kurt stated that the call was made in the “Joint Financing Support” program and said, “We will offer a resource of ₺10 billion to the machinery and equipment investment of 5 thousand SMEs in a way that will create employment for young people.”

KOSGEB President Hasan Basri Kurt made a statement to AA correspondent about the “Joint Financing Support” program carried out with development agencies.

Kurt stated that a call was made in the said program carried out with development agencies in order to increase the capacity Turkiye needs in 2023 and to meet the investment needs of SMEs. “Within the framework of this program, topics in the manufacturing sector were determined together with agencies in every region of Turkiye. Within the framework of these topics, we are preparing a loan package with an upper limit of ₺2 million 500 thousand, at a rate that we can call zero interest for SMEs.”

Kurt stated that they are working with Vakif Participation Bank Inc. and that the bank gives strong support to the program.

Emphasizing that development agencies also strongly support the program, Kurt said, “We will have made available a resource of ₺10 billion to the machinery and equipment investment of 5 thousand SMEs in a way that will create employment for young people. On the other hand, we have put the Treasury Supported Bail System behind this program.”

Kurt stated that they started the application in the Black Sea Region in the first place with 3 agencies, namely the Western Black Sea Development Agency (BAKKA), the North Anatolian Development Agency (KUZKA) and the Middle Black Sea Development Agency (OKA), and that the application will spread to all regions.

President Kurt noted that with the program, KOSGEB will provide serious support to 5 thousand SMEs throughout Turkiye with development agencies in terms of increasing their machinery equipment at the investment point and their transition to automation.

About the program

Within the scope of the program, BAKKA, KUZKA and OKA announced the application guide on their web pages on 25 January and started the processes to receive the project applications of the enterprises on 9 February-10 March.

At the first stage, it is envisaged to support 200 businesses in 10 provinces and to provide approximately ₺75 million with the call of these 3 agencies.

Efforts are continuing for other development agencies to make the call.
