KOSGEB will support 30 thousand entrepreneurs this year

KOSGEB, which supported 11 thousand 809 women entrepreneurs last year within the scope of entrepreneurship supports, plans to support 12 thousand women in a similar way this year.

According to the information compiled by the AA correspondent, the Small and Medium Enterprises Development and Support Administration (KOSGEB) continues to support SMEs and entrepreneurs in order to contribute to an innovative, technological and competitive structure and to increase their share in economic and social development.

Administration plans to support 30,000 entrepreneurs this year to improve their knowledge and skills in starting and running a business.

KOSGEB, which supported 11 thousand 809 women entrepreneurs last year within the scope of entrepreneurship supports, plans to support 12 thousand women in a similar way this year. The share of entrepreneurship support to be provided to women by the institution in 2021 is expected to reach 29% of the total entrepreneurship support.

Working with the aim of contributing to SMEs’ opening to international markets, improving their export capacity and reaching Turkey’s 2023 export targets, KOSGEB continues its support in this direction.

Efforts are underway to pave the way for SMEs to grow by cooperating among themselves and with large enterprises as a result of KOSGEB support. In this context, 132 SMEs are planned to enter this cooperation in 2021 with support from KOSGEB.

The number of enterprises with financial support will be increased to 19 thousand 300

KOSGEB also provides project-based support for SMEs to acquire modern technologies that will provide production capability in medium-high and high-tech sectors, and to increase productivity and product quality by using digital technologies in order to keep pace with value-added-oriented structural transformation in the industry. In this context, the institution will support 121 technological products.

KOSGEB supports the investments to be made by the enterprises in order to produce and commercialize the products that arise as a result of R&D and innovation activities, and to ensure the production and commercialization of products in the field of medium-high and high technology and that will contribute to the current account by the domestic industry. This year, it will support 7,500 businesses in medium-high and high technology areas.

Thus, it is planned to create and commercialize high-tech products that will increase the competitive power of Turkey in international markets by creating added value.

The institution also works to support businesses in the field of financing.

KOSGEB plans to increase the number of businesses with financial support to 19,300 in 2021. Last year, 14 thousand 544 businesses were supported in this area.

Being sensitive about supporting domestic production, Administration aims to support the domestic production of 35 products this year.
