Leather&Fur Fair, which was held for the seventh time this year, started in Antalya. President of Turkish Leather Confectioners Association Gurkan Gozmen said, “We have 61 companies participating with their own brands. They exhibit the best collections of Turkey and the world, which produce the best leather in the world with their unique collections.”

Leather&Fur Fair, organized by the Turkish Leather Confectioners Association (TDKD) in Antalya, brought Turkish companies together with foreign market representatives.

Described as the global meeting of the export and production oriented leather garment industry, the fair opened its doors at a hotel in Belek Tourism Center.

TDKD President Gurkan Gozmen said that the 7th fair they have organized this year is aimed entirely at abroad.

Stating that over a thousand participants from 17 countries took part in the fair, Gozmen stated that they made this organization in order to ensure sustainability in the economy, taking into account the needs of the sector during the new type of corona virus (Covid-19).

“TURKEY’S BEST COLLECTIONS ARE EXHIBITED HERE”

Emphasizing that Turkey is in a very good position in the leather industry, Gozmen said, “We have 61 companies participating with their own brands. They exhibit the best collections of Turkey and the world, which produce the best leather in the world with their unique collections.”

Expressing that the fair provided serious support to exports, Gozmen said, “The fair, which is one of the only sectoral boutique fairs in Turkey, makes a significant contribution to the country’s economy. There is a business connection of $65-70 million at each fair. At these fairs, which we organize twice a year, we expect a commercial expectation of close to $150 million.”

Gozmen added that a fashion show will be held this evening as part of the fair.

The fair will end on December 5th.
