U.S.-based electric vehicle manufacturer Lucid Motors doubled its production in 2025, manufacturing a total of 18,378 vehicles, marking a significant recovery compared with the previous year.
The company also reported strong sales performance, delivering 15,841 vehicles over the year—an increase of 55% year over year.
In a statement, Lucid said that 8,412 vehicles were produced in the fourth quarter alone, underscoring a strong finish to 2025. The solid year-end performance positions the company for a pivotal upcoming year, as it prepares to begin production of its first vehicle built on a new midsize electric vehicle platform.
Lucid noted that its first midsize model is expected to carry a price of around $50,000, placing it in the same market segment as the Tesla Model Y and Rivian’s upcoming R2 SUV.
The company had previously projected deliveries of 135,000 vehicles in 2025, including 86,000 Gravity SUVs, 42,000 Air sedans, and 7,000 units of its not-yet-released midsize vehicle. However, Lucid acknowledged that these targets became unrealistic amid ongoing production, supply chain, and demand challenges, as well as broader disruptions in the automotive market stemming from the pandemic.
Despite these hurdles, the sharp increase in production and sales in 2025 is seen as a key indicator that Lucid Motors is regaining momentum.
