Mecidiyekoy-Mahmutbey metro line will be opened on October 28

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) announced that the M7 Mecidiyekoy-Mahmutbey metro line, the first stage of Kabatas-Mecidiyekoy-Mahmutbey Metro, will be opened as planned on October 28, one day before the Republic Day, and the first 2 days will be free of charge.

This line is planned to serve 400 thousand passengers per day. It has been reported that the last preparations have been completed and the personnel have been placed in Istanbul’s second driverless subway.

Citizen made the test drive

IBB also shared test drive images on the metro line. The test drive was made with the citizens invited by IBB. Ahmet Emin Arslan, student who tried the subway,
