AKAMIB Reports 7% Year-on-Year Growth, Highlighting Strong Performance in International Trade
In May, the Mediterranean Furniture, Paper, and Forest Products Exporters’ Association (AKAMIB) disclosed a significant milestone, with exports amounting to $83.6 million. This figure represents a noteworthy 7% increase compared to the corresponding period last year.
Iraq, Libya, and Germany Lead Destination Markets as AKAMIB’s Exports Soar
Notably, the top recipients of these exports were Iraq, Libya, and Germany, underscoring the region’s robust presence in global trade. AKAMIB’s impressive performance continued throughout the January-May period, with total exports reaching $367.997 million, reflecting a substantial 4.7% increase.
