Industrial production increased by 8.9% in September

The strong recovery in the economy in the second quarter of the year was also reflected in the third-quarter data. Industrial production decreased by 1.5% on a monthly basis in September and increased by 8.9% on an annual basis. Analysts said the growth, which is expected to exceed 7% in the third quarter, could reach double digits throughout the year. In September, the mining and quarrying sector index increased by 7.9%, the manufacturing industry sector index increased by 9.7, the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning production and distribution sector index increased by 1 compared to the same month of the previous year. Calendar-adjusted industrial production increased by 10.8% in the third quarter of this year compared to the same quarter of the previous year. Compared to the previous quarter, seasonal and calendar-adjusted industrial production increased by 1.6%. On the other hand, the calendar adjusted turnover index for industry, construction, trade and service sectors increased by 42.6% in September compared to the same month of the previous year. Retail sales volume at constant prices increased by 15.9% in September.
